WCTDA Announces the 2010 Outdoor Recreation Summit

The Watauga County Tourism Development Authority (WCTDA) is presently developing a 10-year outdoor recreation master plan for the Boone area. On March 30, 2010, the WCTDA will host the Outdoor Recreation Summit to present a draft framework plan and to receive public comment. This public meeting will be held at the Broyhill Inn in Boone, NC at 6:00pm.

Look forward to seeing this 10 year plan come together. How can we get more people involved and have maximum impact? DGT

  Thanks for the comment. There are a few ways to get involved…
  1. regularly check up for blog postings and updates at this site.
  2. continue to provide feedback and comments.
  3. tell other outdoor enthusiasts what’s going on.
  4. get involved with community organizations, such as Boone Area Cyclists or the Boone Climbers Coalition.
  5. be ready to come out to the Outdoor Recreation Summit on March 30th.
